My approach is different. I have two batch files. One to start
PPP and one to stop. I use several DOS Internet programs that I
run on top of the same setup. There are others I haven't tried
yet. Sometimes when I go online, I use Arachne, quite often I
don't. I never use Alt-H to hangup, but Alt-X to exit Arachne,
so I can do something else. When I'm done, my second batch file
simply runs termin.com, which unloads the packet driver and hangs
up the phone.

The main thing is that you've successfully loaded the packet
driver and configured Arachne (wattcp). I played around with
many different "combos", until I came up with one that I was
comfortable with. I learned quite a bit from my mistakes.:-)
