I can't answer for Glenn but as for me, I use Google.
Have been since they first came online as beta. I find
the results to be much more relevant than Altavista, and
though they don't support boolean operators in the search
parameters, it doesn't really seem to need them.

In this case, just go to http://www.google.com and in
the search parameter window enter "acrodos download"
(without quotes). I didn't go check them all out, but at
least half the the links on the first page appear to
actually be places where you can download it.

I got an e-mail the other day asking where you could buy
front surfaced mirror on the web. Go to google, enter
"front surface mirror sale" (again without quotes) and bam!
The first two that pop up are exactly what he was looking
for.

I used to use Alta Vista for everything, but since Google
has been around, I don't think I've used Alta Vista more than
a couple times. Google is definitely *fast* and the results
are almost always better than what you get with similar search
strings in other search engines.
