I use Thunderbyte Antivirus v8.11 for DOS all the time, it's a very
fine virus scanner with TSR capabilities that exceed most of the
other scanner programms - too many features to mention here...
The only time I experienced problems with Arachne and TBAV was during
the process of updating Arachne to v1.50src, because the TSR part of TBAV
would not allow to start core.exe due to its changing. That's OK with a
TSR virus protection, but it even didn't allow to show any reasonable
screen information, so it took a while before I understood what was going
on. Never had any difficulties with this combination since then...
I'm not sure if TBAV is being updated any longer, there had been
rumours that it wouldn't... I surely would regret it, because I
would have to change to McAfee then.
