IMHO there is one good reason to get long FNs:  that is to offer access to
local HTML pages with long file names.  Suppose for instance that you
bought a encyclopedia or some other multimedia title written in HTML.  You
try to read it with Arachne,  and...  It would all work except for one
thing:  the links use long file names and so they are invalid.  I don't
care about LFNs in wwwman.  But I'm more concerned invalid links in local
HTML files.  Does that mean we'd have to recompile core.exe?
