This is not nice... and 8+3 is pretty limiting too...
I think what you want is rather feature of "virtual operating system" I
want to be used as low level layer for planned Arachne II.
It will allows things like
cd /http/yahoo.com
dir
type index.html
...
and more ;-)
But it will be neither DOS or Linux.... and it may takes ages to write it
:-(
