Hi!
I guess that english is not your languaje (german i guess?)...
stop chat!
you're looking for univesa... sorry that utility has gone forever from
the net, so i don't think you may get it directly
My solution: i give you my version of it (3.2) as an attachment for this
file, just download it, unzip it and in dos prompt write:
UNIVESA
and that's all folks (if your card is recognized...)
next you must note of this:
the program will tell you the next
Installing for: <YOUR VIDEO CARD>
DAC: <Discard it...>
Memory: <The memory available for your card>
now when you're in the setup video card in arachne, choose the VESA card
and choose the resolution that you wish, but note THIS: if you're using
an notebook the resolution must be 640x480!! (other will be refused by
the hardware oof the conpaq!)
if you don't have results with this adaptor, then you must download a
new version (is full of crippled options and it's shareware, not
freeware like the uvesa32.zip) the address is:
ftp://oak.oakland.edu/pub/simtelnet/msdos/graphics
and look for univbeXX.zip, where XX is the release number of univesa (i
strongly discourage to use it, but if you don't have other option, use
it :-) )
If more help is needed, just E-MAIL ME! (by the post [EMAIL PROTECTED],
or by my alternate address:

I hope the instructions will be helpful!!
