Hans-Juergen......hi...what I should have included is the fact that
I ALWAYS kill my cache before trying to visit egghead....shouldn't
that automatically get rid of any "something" that makes no sense to
my Arachne...except for fresh stuff being downloaded with the page...??
Clarence and Michael D. and L.D. and...and...all seem to be able to
get egghead to download, but I couldn't....now, with 1.60b1, I finally
got the whole page....however, my Arachne still seems to "stick" at
3000-5000 bytes aometimes, on some pages, and just stays there for
minutes at a time....then gets another 500bytes, then another 1000bytes
then sticks, then times out (but not this new 1.60B1...)....the
problem is always with the page download....as soon as I hit the R
key, everything breaks loose, cookies flying, gifs d/ling, files
d/ling....and all this at a very fast speed....I can tell by watching
my modem lights, and the load bar, on the Arachne Status Bar at the
bottom....so, it doesn't seem to be my server...he is giving me all
he gets right fast, and it doesn't seem to be phone lines, because
they immediately get fast as soon as I hit the R-key.....it is just
those darned "pages" sometimes....and I have not yet figured out what
all the others are doing that makes them so successful while I am
getting stuck.....:-[[[[[ however....this 1.60b1 does not have
the same problem much, so maybe I will just ignore it and advise
everyone to upgrade...:-)}}}
