So with 1.5src on my main puter (400AMD / 128mb ) I could run from a DOS
window no prob (under WINcrap95).
So with (new "upgrade" to WINbloat98) if I try to run ARACHNE from a DOS
box I get an "out of memory" message" & she won't load. If I boot F8 &
chose "DOS prompt" ... run ARACHNE ... she runs GREAT.
note: I have not tried to change any settings, just running stock
setups.
Just thought that was interesting, under WIN$hit95 I did not specify any
tweaky settings but ARACHNE ran great. WIN98 is about what I expected
... more bloat but it does run 32-bit progs more efficiently <g>.
Hoping for LINUX (or BEOS) ports to progs I need to use. Am on the
FreeBEOS list, ...
