Here are a couple of guesses: (Did you already use google with the type
numbers?)
1. If the com port is found without previously starting windows, it appears
to be a hard com port (good). Try msd or similar system info app. to find
out the type of UART used (should be 6550 or similar)
2. check port speed: try 57600 instead of 115200.
3. try jumpering the thing to com3, if your multi io chard (harddisk
controller) already has 2 com ports (windows may overrule one, while dos
doesn't.
IMHO setting to com3 should work.
