RJ, Where did you buy the computer, and what did the information on the system say *precisely* ?? Did it say "complete with modem" or "internet ready" or ??? If it said "internet ready" then you're SOL cuz wintrash will connect and run on the internet. But if it said "complete with modem" they owe you a modem. A modem is a device that will allow any OS to do telecommunication. A "win modem" is not an modem; it is an OS specific hardware add-on that cannot work outside the OS it is designed for.
