Further to my previous post:
Florian Xaver, [EMAIL PROTECTED] , author of FreeCDP, has made an APM for
Arachne. Download it from http://members.aon.at/seal/seal/FreeCDP/CDP.APM
It installed and works for me, except for not playing MOD files. I
gather it may be better in DR-DOS. Don't know, can't tell, haven't got DR-DOS.
I can now play MIDI files from Web page links, and it also
plays Embed/NoEmbed MIDIs in html pages from my Folk Song website. :)
Arachne is getting more complete all the time. :)
FWIW: FreeCDP is able to play MIDIs from within Arachne WHEN MY SOUNDCARD IS
NOT EVEN INITIALISED FROM AUTOEXEC.BAT, because I do not load the drivers when
booting up to Arachne (need the low memory). Now that is impressive.

Don't know about the "patches" mentioned in SETUP.EXE. May
require a search from the Allegro site. I think there is a link from:
http://members.aon.at/seal/project.htm
I have emailed Florian Xaver and asked him about them. Will come back to the
list.
