Clarence & I may not always agree, but on these I have to "second the
motion" ... ALL CAPS USED NOT TO SHOUT BUT TO SEPARATE MY COMMENTS

I AGREE. I MENTIONED TO VIREX THAT THE LIMITS HE HAS CODED INTO
CURRENT VERSION [YES, I LOOKED AT SOURCE CODE] ARE APPARENTLY CAUSING
MUCH OF THE PROBLEM. I'VE SENT HIM EXAMPLES ALSO, AND OFFERED TO SEND
MORE AND TO ALPHA TEST IF HE'D LIKE. NO RESPONSE. HOTLIST MANAGER
DOESN'T WORK AND WILL TRASH AN OLDER HOTLIST ALMOST BEYOND REPAIR.

IT IS ONE THING FOR AN EXPERT USER TO BE ABLE TO FINE TUNE ARACHNE
BY GOING INTO THE CFG FILES AND DOING WONDEROUS THINGS. IT IS ANOTHER
THING ENTIRELY FOR DEFAULTS TO BE SET THAT THE NEW USER CANNOT CHANGE
SHORT OF DOING THE SAME THING.

MY DIRECTORIES SHOWED UP FINE. SO IT MAY BE BECAUSE FULL PATHS
WEREN'T STATED IN SETUP OR ??

IT'S NOT JUST IF YOU TYPE SETUP. THE SELF-INSTALL TAKES YOU TO
SETUP, AND THERE IS NO WAY OUT OF IT. NONE I COULD FIND, INCLUDING
CTRL-Z. I REBOOTED TO GET OUT OF IT.

THIS WOULD BE NICE, BUT IF THAT ISN'T DONE I THINK THAT 'REPLY TO'
SHOULD BE DEFAULT. OTHERWISE THE CURRECT NEW GENERATION OF "COMPUTER
USERS" WILL BE SENDING LIST MAIL TO PRIVATE PARTIES CONTINUOUSLY. I'VE
SEEN IT HAPPEN IN SOME LISTS I BELONG TO.
