One thing that keeps me tied to the house is that I have certain
computercentric projects that must be kept track of, not the least of
these being Arachne development & beta testing.
But I also have hundreds of places I want to go where I can't plug into
the motel uplink ... primarily because I'll be camping or away from
temporary homebase during much of the day.
I saw an ad for a satellite notebook on the TV the other day. I forget
the name because I couldn't access the numeric URL via DNS that night.
Does anyone know of, or have experience with, any satellite portable
computers? I plan a trip to Washington DC in July, and I'd love to find
a satellite uplink system that doesn't cost $1,500 a month for service.
