...I went to the www.swichboard.com site several times...no crashs, no
hangs, or go-to-sleeps...I am on 1.60b1, with all frames, images, etc
enabled...load time, thru redirect and all, approximately 1.45
...I went to the www.suntech.fr site several times...no crashs, no
hangs, or go-to-sleeps...load time approximately 1.34 - main, 1.03 -
english, 0.03 - contacts...everything worked fine...
...The suntech site is scary...the way it begins by scrolling Arachne
down from the top, painting vertical lines downward, until it wipes out
my status bar at the bottom, but once you get used to it, it ends up
with some super-cool 3D drawings...(I like those things, 'cause I'm
an engineer, and we grove on that kinda stuff...<ggggg> )
...I tried both swichboard and suntech in both my w3.1 IE3.08 and
NN4.08, and they worked okay, too....the suntech site did not cause them
to scroll downward while painting a whole screen full of vertical bars.
...the two blowsers loaded the suntech page much faster that Arachne,
but this was probably due to the "downward scrolling" that the site
forced Arachne to do..
...so...once again...I CAN'T MAKE MY Arachne do what yours does...must
be something I;m doin' wrong...!!!!....<gggg>
