Michael Polak,
Regarding Arachne digest, what time of day is it sent, and how frequently? It
would simplify my email not to have so many little messages as separate files.
Why should the digest not be able to take MIME attachments as raw data as is,
without trying to interpret the strange text? But really, I find MIME
attachments to be a nuisance, with Outlook Express often adding an HTML version
after the non-HTML version, and one or both parts often encoded
quoted-printable, so the HTML portion can't be simply block-copied to a
browser-ready file. I remember one message on newsgroup alt.support.asthma
exceeded 200 KB, the bulk of it being a MS-Word .DOC which I had no support for:
thoughtless netiquette to say the least. A Web page can be included inline,
rather than a MIME attachment (quoted-printable again), or better yet, just give
the complete URL.
>P.P.S. Can anyone explain why we can copy *to* the "To" field in mail
> editor, but can't copy *from* that field?
You can copy to or from, with a text editor. I find Arachne's message-compose
lacking, so hardly ever use it. Can't even import text from an already existing
file?
