I think 64 may be default on more than QEMM.  I'm using Himem from 6.22
and have not set any handles, num or feeling, anywhere.  Review of
system reveals 64 EMS handles, 63 available.

Ron, if DOS 5.0 Himem doesn't default to 64, you *can* use himem from
6.2 which *does* default to 64. Lemme gno you need it.  don't even need
setver with himem since it runs before command.com or shell is even set.
