Both Slackware and Debian work well on survivor PCs. Hardcore DOS dinosaurs will probably prefer Slackware, but there's nothing wrong with Debian. The other mainstream distributions (RedHat, Corel, Mandrake, etc.) do not work well on survivor PCs. They are designed for GUI-lovers with 32meg Pentiums. Cheers, Steven
