    Welcome ......your post is very reassuring...I am not in constant
communication with Michael, but from my brief mail conversations, I had
gathered that he was being "sensible"...but I didn't realize that he
was being THIS sensible....the "compile from a single source" is a
good concept, but will be harder to achieve....most software has some
little differences in the source code between OSs, and between machines.

    We are glad to see you're joining the list, thank you for your input.
