Dear Mr. Baxter,

        Thank you very much for your help with the Arachne software. I
find that I can get my machine to surf alright
but I still have some trouble with some websites because they "Xswap
error...trying to deallocate" every once and a while. I am still using
the Dos 6.2 and an IDE drive with 8 megs physical RAM.

        I found the addition of the NUMHANDLES=64 line to be of some help
but a friend suggested that a bigger value, such as 128, might be better.
 Included below is the config.sys from my system. I do not load
smartdrive from the autoexec.bat file like you do. Here goes:

DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS /NUMHANDLES=64
DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS
DEVICE=C:\DOS\SMARTDRV.EXE /U /C  h:
BUFFERS=8,0
FILES=50
LASTDRIVE=K
FCBS=4,0
dos=high,umb
STACKS=9,256
DEVICEHIGH=C:\DOS\DRVSPACE.SYS /MOVE

        Thank you very much for your support and help.

Yours Sincerely,

Thomas Tabler
