EPPPD doesn't get config info from PPPDRC.CFG -- at least not the
way Arachne gets info from Arachne.cfg.
I can't dial in without an Arachne.cfg file. I *can* dial in
without a PPPDRC.CFG file. Only *after* I've dialed in, connected, and
got PPP running successfully do I even find a pppdrc.cfg file. I think
you'll find that pppdrc.cfg is created from what Arachne.cfg file has in
it ... IOW, Arachne.cfg is the controlling file. If you don't believe
me, try it for yourself. Rename pppdrc.cfg to pppdrc.cfK and dial in.
Then after you hang up check the directory you have Arachne installed
in, and lo and behold! A pristine brand-new pppdrc.cfg file.
