Answer:
Miniterm.exe reads info from arachne.cfg and then creates pppdrc.cfg
Epppd.exe then reads info from pppdrc.cfg
To test this...
1) delete pppdrc.cfg
2) at the command prompt (not from within Arachne), run miniterm.exe
3) you'll be back to the command prompt after miniterm has dialed,
connected and logged-in (F7 will be needed if autologin is disabled)
4) "type pppdrc.cfg"<enter> (newly created pppdrc.cfg will be shown)
5) delete arachne.cfg
6) "epppd"<enter> (packet driver will be loaded)
I hope this clears-up the question of which cfg is used by which program.
