Here I was assuming it had to do with the new APM.EXE (since it also
handles / as a directory seperator).

Yes, Arachne should (IMHO) move back to the closest / or \ for each ..
that's in the link. This would also fix the problem someone reported about
earlier that too many "../" were used as links at times (IIRC).
