Yes, you need to change the settings for the normal background and
textcolor in arachne.cfg I forgot about that.
Actually I changed all the settings on my own machine and then copied the
new arachne.cfg over to my AT (that only has orange and black on the
screen). You could of course change arachne.cfg by hand (reading the file
keywords.txt will help you).
These are probably the interesting ones:
