>There is BladeEnc which will convert WAV to MP3s
-- Thanks! I've had a quick play with it and it tells me
the sampling rate of the troublesome WAV wasn't
high enough. I tried resaving the WAV using the
sound card's recording software by inserting it into
a new file with a higher bit-rate, but BladeEnc says
it is an unknown subtype, so the experiments continue.
I've found more "life" and no clipping in playback of
recordings during my brief experience with MpxPlay
compared to WinPlay3. But I hope to avoid becoming
a bandwidth-hogging MP3 junkie. 1MB per minute of
recording, for those that need to know.
Cheers,
