attrib -r -s -h c:\msdos.sys
edit c:\msdos.sys
enter a new line BOOTGUI=0
attrib +r +s +h c:\msdos.sys

if you get a directory name, than look if the directory exists.
(remember NEVER EVER make a temp veriable point to a root dir eg c:\ )
