I seem to disconnect cleanly from DOSPPPD without such a string as +++. Such a
string would have no effect with me anyway, being disabled with S2=128 in init
string as safeguard against hangup resulting from +++ followed by ATH0 with
nothing in between. In the case of unexpected disconnect, which can happen
after 15 minutes of no data transmission or due to a glitch, the software hangup
still exits clean, clearing the packet driver and EPPPD out of memory. PPP.EXE
in OS/2 Warp 4 is buggy in this regard, and I wonder if there is a clean exit
from PPP after unexpected disconnect in Linux and MS Windows (3.1, 95, 98, NT,
2000). I know there are part-time Windows and Linux users on this list.
