Hi Folks,

I watched the discussion about the best mouse driver, especially about
the size of the driver. IMHO You need to check the amount of memory the
driver needs and not the file size.
For example, my Mitsumi driver has a file size of 14834 bytes, but it
uses only 5712 bytes of umb. You can check this with mem /debug.
Everyone should have this left :-).

For me are the following questions of more importance:
Does it recognize the mouse, regardless of which kind it is or on witch
port it is connected (mice do not live forever, sometime You have to
change it :-( ), without confusing the modem or whatever is on the com
port?
Does it work with all Your favorite software?
Can You customize the driver (speed, acceleration...) for Your comfort?

I'm able to deal with the DOS prompt, but since there are GOOD GUIs
available even for AT machines (check out New Deal Office or the
"nostalgic" GEM) a nice working mouse driver is useful.

Regards Joerg Dietze
