In my case the problem has been solved (thanks to many on this list) by
freeing more memory for Arachne to use... the provider is still letting
me down between 20:00 and 24:00 hour (local time) but now Arachne keeps
dialing and dialing , again and again...
no collapsing any more.

There is still one possibility to make Arachne collaps: click on "YOUR
COMPUTER"...
This is not a big problem because there are lots of other ways to look
into "MY COMPUTER"...
