L.D.,

That is a *weird* site, but then it was created by California.

Using Arachne 1.60, it overwrote the home page. Redraw (F9) got rid of the
home page. (It also overwrote the history page after I left the web and then
returned. F9 got rid of the history page.)

Clicking on page 2 not only brought up Page 1 again, but reset the "Sex"
field to "Any" (why didn't they say "either"? But, then again, it's
California, and they may have more than 2 sexes) and left the given name
fields blank. Same things happened when I clicked on "Next" instead of a
page number.

Either the string is too long on a search I'm attempting or the &amp is
causing problems. I don't know which.

I can get the first page of results, but trying to go to 'next' or a
numbered page results in going back to square zero.

I tried taking &amp out of the string; no luck.
I tried putting back just & in the string; no luck.

This isn't the only site where I can only see page one of multiple pages
of results; this is just the most recent.

Anyone interested in taking a look?

a valid search to try is

surname: stewart [exact]
year: 1942
gender: female

That produces 81 responses, of which only 20 can be seen.

Why? How can we fix??
