Ok, these last ones we can make with the programmable hotkeys (shiftFn).
In arachne.cfg edit the entries for ShiftF? and ?? to read:
ShiftFx pop3: (get mail)
ShiftFz smtp: (send mail)
You may need to set Autodial Yes, or put up with the complaints when
you try to do either offline. <G>

It's also annoying when you realize you have to exit to do something and
the only option is "Send later" followed later by "Modify".
It seems like a small inconvenience, but in my case I'm used to having a
pop-up notepad that remembers everything until the power goes off. <G>
