Hmmm... after all:
What kind of machine have???
what kind of video card you have???
there 're several cards that can eat xms Ram and use it as
video card memory but this option must be enable from bios
if your card support this you must go into bios and find the
" Share memory size" option and give at least 4Mb size if you
want in windows a grid of 800x600, 16-bit truecolor screen
size... Don't use PV as a base about the images that this
exellent program is capable, since it seems that PV, uses a
strange technique to emulate videocard memory in case that you
don't have enougth memory to display a screen...
If you don't find this option at your bios, you must change
your video card (windows rejects any ram emulation process to
use xms for video)... maybe you can find a good card at a low
price... (i recomend for win 3.1 a Trident (any model) with a
minimum of 2 mb of memory) it works as an standard svga card
and may make you smile :-)
