I thought you had bought one that costs (all numbers converted to USD from
SEK) 0.1 USD that comes with a one-year subscription that costs 34USD/month
- remove 2*12USD/month for 2 phonelines and the diffrence is 10 USD/month.
Remove 2USD for "who's calling" service (sorry can't remember the english
name) and 2USD for internet connection fees and you are down to 6USD/month
(7USD is more correct if I first count in SEK and then exchange).
But that's just for 64K as max, I don't know about the ISDN "modem" itself.
I'm still hoping that broadband access will come soon (there's a local
meeting on the 15th), but 100 free hours/month for ca 22USD (would cost
somewhere between 65 and 130USD if I acyually used that much) is good
enough for me right now (this can also be used with 64K ISDN if you are
interested Lars - look at http://www.spray.se/).
As a side note I must say the support at this ISP is extremly good. I
didn't know the DNS numbers and the girl I talked to gave me the numbers
directly when I asked for them instead of saying "click on Start and then
the Controlpanel..." that all the other ISPs support staff do.
It would be good if Arachne could get the DNS numbers from the server - I
think this would help many people.
BTW: If you only want an ISDN card (128K) you can get one for ca 40 USD -
that makes it cheaper than a 56K win-modem :) The ISDN connection (instead
of analog phone) will of course cost more in that case...
