I am trying to install Arachne on an old Packard Bell 486 laptop.
However, as I advance to the next step, the previous screen does
not clear completely and I get two or more screens jumbled together.
I tried various monitor settings and the only one that worked at all
was the VGA. I acquired the computer from another person and no
manual or documentation was available. Anyone have any idea what
might be causing this problem?
Also, does anyone have a configuration file for any of the free
US ISP's such as 1NOL or Freewwweb that they could post or send
to me? I can access 1NOL using Trumpet and Freewwweb using a Shiva
dialer on another 486 computer with Windows 3.1, so it should be
possible to access them using Arachne.
