Viewed with my copy of Insight/A164 only a minority of these characters are displayed properly. The HTML version is identical. I would note that there have apparently been positive changes to either A164 or home.arachne.cz, as the prominent "Slu3/4by" now displays as "sluzby" (no accents). All fractions seem to have disappeared from the Arachne suite of pages. I have to say this discussion has been most informative-- and bewildering. :-) On Sat, 8 Jul 2000 14:28:40 +0200, Bastiaan Edelman wrote: > This list has been composed to check your caracter set: > 128 = > 129 = > 130 = ‚ > 131 = ƒ 156= œ 181= 206= Φnbsp; 231= > 缂R>132 = „ 157= 182= 207= Ϧnbsp; > 232= 輂R>133 = … 158= 183= 208= > Цnbsp; 233= 鼂R>134 = † 159= Ÿ 184= > 209= Ѧnbsp; 234= 꼂R>135 = ‡ 160= > 185= 210= Ҧnbsp; 235= 뼂R>136 = ˆ 161= > 186= 211= Ӧnbsp; 236= 켂R>137 = ‰ 162= > 187= 212= Ԧnbsp; 237= R>138 = Š 163= > 188= 213= զnbsp; 238= R>139 = ‹ 164= > 189= 214= ֦nbsp; 239= "R>140 = Œ 165= > 190= 215= צnbsp; 240= 삒>141 = 166= 191= > 216= ئnbsp; 241= 삒>142 = 167= 192= 217= > ٦nbsp; 242= 삒>143 = 168= 193= fnbsp;218= > ڦnbsp; 243= 삒>144 = 169= 194= > ¦nbsp;219= ۦnbsp; 244= 삒>145 = ‘ 170= > 195= ænbsp;220= ܦnbsp; 245= 삒>146 = > ’ 171= 196= Ħnbsp;221= ݦnbsp; 246= > 삒>147 = “ 172= 197= Ŧnbsp;222= > ަnbsp; 247= 삒>148 = ” 173= 198= > Ʀnbsp;223= ߦnbsp; 248= Ⓘ149 = • 174= > 199= Ǧnbsp;224= মbsp; 249= Ⓘ150 = > – 175= 200= Ȧnbsp;225= ᠦnbsp; 250= > Ⓘ151 = — 176= 201= ɦnbsp;226= > ⦮bsp; 251= Ⓘ152 = ˜ 177= 202= > ʦnbsp;227= 㦮bsp; 252= ⾱53 = ™ 178= > 203= ˦nbsp;228= 䦮bsp; 253= ⾱54 = š > 179= 204= ̦nbsp;229= 妮bsp; 254= 5 = › > 180= 205= ͦnbsp;230= 榮bsp; 255= >This mail is > composed and sent by Outlook Expres... just to see what is happening... > The table shows ISI-8859-1 on the screen. > The 'tabs' used to create nice colums are gone?? > And now the funny stuff: > Suppose you want to use " e accented /" ISO-8859-1 code 233... > Let's try Alt 233 ..."ڢ surprise! > Now we type Alt 130 ...
