If any unregistered user is interested in finding out how Arachne behaves
registered they should try 1.64, Michael is this a bug or a feature? ;-)

And, as always, not all version numbers are increased... (they are in the
source however)

Who came up with the idea that "COMx" shouldn't be written in the first place?

Thanks Clarence, it seems like EPPPD defaults to COM1 if no port is set -
but it actually just stores all the data in the area reserved for when Com1
is used.

My suggestion is that Arachne writes the Base itself (no more "Default")
and never write the COM port. And if Arachne would check that the values
written to pppdrc.cfg are in a correct format (the DNS 123.456.789.1011
isn't valid for instance) I could shave that off of epppd (a special
compile of course).
And while speaking of IP-addresses, if the Gateway cant be reached Arachne
shouldn't lock up (but that's more related to WatTCP isn't it?)

BTW: When the discussion about what program creates pppdrc.cfg came up I
never had time to comment - but miniterm has never created that file for
me. (Nor does it do when I look over the source, I did see it in the source
for core.exe).

Oh yeah, http://www.starwarsemail.com/ doesn't work properly (probably due
to a cookie problem), I don't know if it worked with earlier versions. The
problem is that you can't remove your mail (not that I ever get any except
that from the maintainers of the site).
