You misunderstand where I'm speaking of finding the "content-type".

Where I mean is in the .HTT file which contains the information about
the file being D/Led. (press the = key after D/Ling a page)

 During ftp download, Arachne does not generate an .HTT
(ftp servers don't send this information the way that http servers do)

 Therefore, Arachne (and all other ftp programs), use the files
extension to decide what shall be done with that file.

(pressing = will simply switch you to a "text display" of the .ftp file)

To confirm that no .HTT was generated, look in \arachne\cache\headers\
(the newest file will be from the last http D/L you did)
