Check out the SPOOL utility at http://www.bobsh.demon.co.uk/ads.htm

" This is to spool collections of single email message files into a
single file, for subsequent use with Weblist. It can also be used
to unspool them back to single email message files to be used
    with a mail reader"

The single file created can be in Net-tamer's single file format for
emails.

Personally, I prefer Insight's way of single files for each email
message because it is so flexible. I can copy the latest emails
to a floppy to take to work for Arachne at my work machine.

I also "wrote" Dfilter (an email filter for Arachne; available at
http://www.opus.co.tt/dave) to move email messages to different
folders.

Also, you could also archive them by using Pkzip or any other
archiver you prefer.
