Dear programmers,

thank you for the new version, and particularly for the new
guide to RAM-Drive installation (I have never really understood the
memory management and disk cache issues, so command line
parameters of SMARTDRV or in config.sys are quite complicated for
me).

Apart from the known experience that every version is better than the
last one, I encountered the following problems:

1. I use Arachne since version 1.48, and for the first time my modem
(internal for WINDOWS configuration: Port 0, IRQ 4, Base 0x2e8)
refused to dial. After having replaced the MINITERM.EXE file
with the one from version 1.64 everything worked well.

2. For downloading email from various POP3 servers I use an Arachne
script file MAIL.ASF. Since version 1.64 I have realized the same
bug:

> build up and the status-line at the bottom says "Verifying Images".

Immediately after that, Arachne usually crashes. If I remove the the
line

     reload:file://inbox.dgi

from the script and call the list of incoming mail with hotkey 'I'
there seems to be no problem.

Perhaps my observations can be useful to you.
Greetings, Christof Lange, Prague
