I think I'm in love. }8-S)
I hope the romance lasts at least a few more hours !!

Arachne 1.66 is the most professionally finished looking version I've seen
yet ! It loaded onto my '486 with no annoying snags - just as if it knew what
it was doing. Lots of escape routes if the hardware doesn't measure up.

The installer still wants to change my config.sys to 50 files but it's
OK, it's changeable. There is no longer any garbage in the Qick start
bat name window. "A.bat" looks pretty quick to me.

It still autodetects my com4 modem with nothing on com3 !
The modem settings page has been adjusted to offer only correct information
to the new users.

The REALLY great thing is that these little nit-picking cosmetic fixes
are finally done and they are permanent ! And very worthwhile from an
esthetic standpoint.

We must reach into the depths of memory, however, to find an esthetically
pleasing PPP_INIT.htm. Luckily, I keep an old one on hand, and this is why
I can be in love with this version. '-)

I haven't really tested it yet - that comes much later tonite on the P90.
I have to see about the lost cluster problem.

p.s. I also zipped it up and transferred it to my '386.
That's worth another post. <G>
