Hello Michael and All; I zipped up the Arachne 1.66 install on my '486 and unzipped it to the ramdisk on my '386 where I only have 4mb TOTAL ram. It was a 2.312Mb ramdisk. I had 1.077Mb FREE on the ramdisk when I was done. And I hadn't removed ANYTHING from the initial install except a few .gifs in the main directory that take too much time to load on a '386 anyway. I left XCH.gif and STROBO.gif alone. How did I squeeze Arachne into 1.3 megs of diskspace ? I compressed the ramdisk with Stacker while it was empty. <G> I can probably now delete an additional 200k - (wizards + backgrounds) and trade it in for more XMS memory.
