I don't care if it's been discussed beyond belief.
I don't care if it's fixed in 1.65 [yeah, right] ...
Michael went and "fixed" something just a bit "too well" again. <sigh>
I come back to over 1900 messages, only 250 of which were old.
I'm going bonkers just doing right click so I can bulk quick delete.
Periodically the mouse cursor slips off the subject line just as I right
click, and what happens? I, of course, get taken to where I was before
I was busy editing the index of messages... usually a message.
I click on the "Hey, take me back forward to where NL I was!" arrow.
Does Arachne do that? NO! I redigests and regurgitates an entirely new
index list.
OK, I will admit that when I would click on "Index" from within a
message, I wanted to find the most recent index -- sans all the
deletions made while reading. That would be a good thing.
BUT I NEVER SAID THAT WHEN I'M ASKING FOR SOMETHING IN CACHE THAT
REQUEST SHOULD BE IGNORED AND I AGAIN BE STUCK TRYING TO FIND JUST WHERE
NL I WAS BEFORE MY FINGER SLIPPED!
Arrows back/forward should be "load from cache; if I want new I'll hit
the recycle button or R ..."
Yes, if I use hotkey "I" from somewhere/anywhere I should get newest and
bestest index. Yes, if I select "Index" from within a message I should
get the newest and bestest index."
NO, I should not get "newest and bestest" when I want what was/is in
cache -- the reason I use the < and > arrows.
ARGHHHH ... and I haven't even downloaded today's e-mail!!
