Hello Michael, All;

I managed to get my primary ISP to TEMPORARILY lift the block they had on
[EMAIL PROTECTED] just in time. Seems my secondary is blocked now. :(

I've finally plowed thru all the back posts that I missed.
Thank (fill in your deity) for the arachne digest !!
Most times I couldn't tell if my posts re: A1.66 were going anywhere. :(

I want to add to my previous comments. Arachne 1.66 does NOT lose clusters
for me after surfing/loading/reloading + clearing the cache (F8) MANY times.

I loaded the main page at slashdot last night onto my P90 with 2 versions:
A162 initial load time 45 Sec A166 initial load time 40 Sec QADT No.
A162 link to article 40 Sec A166 link to article 38 Sec
A162 back to main page 4 Sec A166 back to main page 2 Sec
A162 forward to article 9 Sec A166 forward to article 8 Sec
A162 memory online 63kb [+] A166 memory online 71kb [+]
A162 memory offline 120kb [+] A166 memory offline 145kb [+]
This was not my optimum setup - I can get 7kb more offline with DOS 5.0
Those little improvements will translate BIGTIME to '486 (2sec=10sec) and
HUGETIME for '386.(2sec = atleast 40sec improvement) Actual tests later !

All in all, I think Arachne 1.66 is certainly the best yet.
Minor cosmetic problems can be overcome by using parts of A1.62 which was
also very good.
I will be switching to A166 when I find the time to modify about 20 files
to suite my personal tastes.
At least with Arachne, you can actually DO that !!

Maybe someone could tell me if the problem with PROFILES.ah is a HTML error ?
And, can I restore the smallfont size by copying all A162 fnt dir to A166 ?
