I've found variability in Windows browsers, with some _not_ supplying
"curly quotes" when a sans serif (Arial) font is used.

The Opera browser comes pre-configured to use Times New Roman, which some
find a touch old-fashioned for screen documents, and don't have the nous
to change. Can't remember, but I think it's the same for Netscape.

I raised the question meaning: "What TrueType-alike font would Arachne
users prefer?" (so that, should _I_ make a font, I don't duplicate but
instead either enhance or extend the available font support).

"TmpTmp" from Arachne Chat made a handwriting font last year...
