Linux is great in sharing the internet connection. My 486 is doing
just that, and hopefully still will if I get cable internet.
But you said something about not able to install it? If it is a server
you shouldn't let anyone use it, so userfriendliness isn't much of an
issue. I'm sure you can handle it. ;-) If the worst comes to the
worst, download ZipSlack or something and try it... It seems to
have a lot of things builtin like that. Not sure about the ISDN card
drivers though, but somewhere on the web...
If you have to use W9x, probably WinGate would be your only bet,
but it is of course commercial. AFAIK there's nothing free for
windows, except "W98 Internet Connection Sharing" but that's not
very good (or so I'm told). Anyway It wouldn't run of a 486.
