At first I used to receive about 3 or 4 spams per day. When my
father (who have an account on the same ISP) started getting about 8
to 9 spam messages per day, I decided to take action and start
forwarding any spam mail I received to the Abuse section of the ISP.
A week later, all spam stopped. That, was a year ago. Since then
I received about 2 spams. (both received quite an unfriendly letter
from a "Nur Aren" person from "Dragon Sphere computer labs", detailing
how their server is now listen in about every known spam service.
even if it didnt really convinced them, they still stoped!)

Here's a funny case: During the time I used to receive daily spam,
I once actually made an international call to america to talk
with the spammer. The lady who answered me have patiently explained
that "electronic advertising by mail" is allowed in the US. And
if its not allowed in Israel, its my problem. So I then asked her
"how would you feel if I was the one filling up your box with
nonsense?" she answered "if you are refering to an electronic attack,
you should know that this is illegal in the US." (btw, I wasnt
talking about an attack.). I decided to take that path of thought
and responded accordingly: "Great to hear it. Too bad that there is
no law against it in Israel. I guess its.. your problem?".

Curiosly, I never received any spam from them again, either. :)
(and as a side note, yes, there is a law against computer attacks
in here. no worries.)
