I dont know why they call it ``glue'' headers, since neither pegasus or
smtpop accepts one file with many messages. Anyway, this format essentially
adds (prepends) several lines to the standard Unix mailbox style headers,
most people are used to, lines like these:
$$ [EMAIL PROTECTED]
T [EMAIL PROTECTED]
In this regard, I recently discovered a handy tool called, ``glue.exe''
that will convert a message in Unix mailbox format to glue header format
(i.e., it will add the extra glue lines to the header). You can find
this program in the pmpop110.zip archive for the program, written by
David Harris, that smtpop was designed as a substitute for. This program
is not widely known, and it saves you the trouble of writing you own
script to convert mail to glue format. Pegasus mail, of course, will write
messages in glue format to begin with.
