Maybe it was a lighting bug trying to re-charge.
I found a mouse in my electric stove switch area. It
didn't cause any problem, it just dehydrated(mummified).
I found it by accident while fixing something else.

P.S. What was wrong with your tent? Wasn't it big enough
for the generator to run your laptop? Or, did your
feet stick out? Or, did it leak?
