The default install had a TEMP variable set? I've *never* seen that.
Of course I no longer know where my "install" diskette for 5.0 is;
that's been a long time and about 15 states.

I still say Arachne can test for value of variable TEMP and if
== C:\DOS, Arachne can then do SET TEMP= and default to whatever Arachne
normally does with temp files. That way Arachne can't be blamed for
anything that happens to C:\DOS files and is actually doing user a
favor.
Has anyone checked with DOS versions higher than 5.0? Like I said, I
don't have any installation diskettes at all, except maybe 3.1 <G>
