One thing I thought of is responding to the "remove" address but with other than
your own email address, preferably a nonexistent or unlikely user name, or maybe
an address from the same or other spam. That would give them a bunch of bad
data. You could also do that when the remove instructions involve a Web page:
give a phony email address, maybe avoid having your correct email address in
browser settings. This might not be good if you have a fixed IP address as may
be the case with cable or DSL.
Note re line length: columns 1 to 80 are perfectly fair game.
