I've a feeling that those little round circles are what get PRINTED
(i.e., NOT acted upon) when there's an 09 hex character (horizontal tab)
in the text. The Arachne message editor doen't seem to be able to put
tabs in the text: pressing TAB simply moves the mouse cursor to the next
clickable button on the screen. Way back when I had the external editor
function working with Arachne, I'd use QEDIT to compose my messages,
wherein the TAB key inserted a tab character with tabs set to every 4
spaces. coming back to Arachne after edit, I'd find a small circle in
the text everywhere I'd put a tab in Q.
Now that Arachne's message editor has improved to 'useable' status, I
don't use an external editor but I still see the circles occasionally in
other peoples' messages.
Hope this helps!
Ron.
